A true local bay area girl, Kerry Vermeer has her roots deeply planted in bay area soil from day one and has been a community treasure ever since! Born and raised in Redwood City, she went to high school at Mercy in Burlingame and then moved to the Silicon Valley.

Kerry is a mother, a small business woman and deeply committed community volunteer for years.  She has lived, worked, raised children and owned businesses in the Silicon Valley for over 30 years and deeply understands the neighborhoods and markets. She owned and operated Lappert’s Ice Cream and Coffee in the Rancho Shopping Center, Los Altos where she built many lasting relationships with her customers.  Kerry committed years of her life to being a foster parent for the County of Santa Clara. She fostered 7 special and beautiful children and is still very much involved in her foster children’s lives.

She has been married to Scott for over thirty years who recently retired as the Police and Fire Chief of Mountain View.  He now works in tech here in the valley. Their three children include two sons, Kyle and Grant, who both attended Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose and her daughter, Paige, who attended Castilleja in Palo Alto.  Kyle who attended school locally at Stanford is a software engineer at Facebook and is married to Kerry’s “mini-me” Alexandra, who is a rising star at Salesforce. Grant played division 1 basketball at the United States Naval Academy and graduated with a degree in cyber operations. He is now an Ensign in the United States Navy. Paige is a senior at Yale, interned at Apple and is contemplating law school. They all went from kindergarten to eighth grade at Saint Simon School in Los Altos. Her children inspire her to continue to serve others, especially her clients.Kerry has bought and sold homes and understands the concerns and pressures her clients are feeling in the frenetic bay area real estate process.

Kerry manages every part of the process to keep it as stress-free as possible. She equips her clients with a personalized step-by-step roadmap of how their goals will be achieved, providing peace of mind and confidence at every turn. She's committed to creating experiences that are both collaborative and personal for each client's needs. Kerry knows how to fight to get the best price – the price her clients deserve – in any transaction, whether they’re buying or selling.

The art of negotiation is a formidable skill that separates successful, professional Realtors from those who just sell houses. Another skill that no Realtor can do without today is the ability to utilize the newest technologies to effectively buy and sell homes; this is especially important in the local market.

In helping people find the home of their dreams, Kerry uses the Multiple Listing Service as well as her personal, local well-connected network to uncover any and all off-market offerings. She is an expert at staging and even helping clients through the moving process.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home, you can put your trust in Kerry Vermeer, a life-long Silicon Valley resident who's eager to help you achieve your real estate dreams and protect your investment.

A California native, Richard grew up in the city of Downey outside of Los Angeles. He is a son of a blue-collar family. His father was an armored car driver, and his mother was a bookkeeper for Sears. At an early age, Richard loved to move the furniture in his room around about every six months to have a different feeling. To the disliking of his parents, he went as far as moving the furniture around in the house to give it a different flow. Richard graduated from Warren High School where he was an active swimmer and water polo player.

After completing his general education at Cerritos College, Richard transferred to Sonoma State University where he studied Theater Arts. He tried acting and directing until finally finding his place behind the scenes with stage management and lighting design. He would go on to design lights at local high schools, manage plays and musicals at local community theaters, and at Santa Rosa Junior College’s Summer Repertory Theater. In 1991, Richard moved back home and received a degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in stage management and lighting design from California State University, Fullerton.

While managing shows around Los Angeles, he began working for the YMCA as an Aquatics Coordinator. Richard found a great appreciation working with youth, teens, and families. For most of his 20 years at the Y, he worked closely with colleagues and community members developing leadership-building teen and camp programs.

Richard has many passions in life that includes traveling (20 countries and counting), cooking and baking, learning about good wine, beer, and spirits, snow skiing, live music, theater (he’s learned to enjoy the show and not seek out its’ flaws), and watching endless hours of HGTV.
